Whole Town Strategy
 |
What we recommend |
In order to create more sustainable small towns across Europe, one of the strongest recommendations the SusSET partners can give is to establish a long-term vision that covers the whole town and all its economic, social, and environmental aspects.
- Involve all sectors of the community in developing that vision – including the private sector – and listen and respond to what the public have to contribute.
- Use the opportunity to build bridges between sectors and strive to build a team (either formal or informal) that will take the vision forward.
- Encourage champions and ambassadors to promote the town and its vision and focus all actions and effort towards achieving it.
- Be prepared, however, to adapt and remain flexible, and use every opportunity to keep learning and improving.
